Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle, PELNI Holds PELNI Funwalk Fest 2025
Jakarta, May 26, 2025 – PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) successfully held a health walk event titled "PELNI Funwalk Fest 2025" at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta on Sunday (May 25).
The event was attended by Vice Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, Commissioner General of Police (Ret.) Suntana, Deputy for Human Capital, Technology, and Information at the Ministry of SOEs Tedi Bharata, Assistant Deputy for Logistics Services at the Ministry of SOEs Desty Arlaini, and Director General of Sea Transportation at the Ministry of Transportation M. Masyhud.
In addition to PELNI's Board of Commissioners and Directors, the event was also joined by hundreds of PELNI employees from the Jakarta head office, all branch heads, representatives of sea-based employees and management, as well as representatives from PELNI Logistics and PELNI Services.
In her opening remarks, PELNI President Director Tri Andayani stated that the event was not only aimed at improving physical health but also served as a momentum to strengthen relationships among PELNI personnel and reinforce the company's commitment to serving the public.
“PELNI continues to transform in an effort to enhance its performance and contribute to national development. The PELNI Funwalk Fest 2025 is a tangible expression of our spirit to keep moving forward—both in maintaining the health of our people and in providing the best service to the nation,” said Andayani.
The event also reflected the practical implementation of the company’s core values, known as AKHLAK, particularly in fostering care for health and togetherness. PELNI is committed to consistently demonstrating dedication and loyalty to the nation and its people.
Andayani also emphasized PELNI’s strategic role in supporting national connectivity. “Through its fleet of ships, PELNI connects and unites the entire Indonesian archipelago, including remote, outermost, and underdeveloped regions (3TP), serving as a symbol of the state's presence in providing essential maritime transportation for all Indonesians,” she added.
In addition to the 2.5 km health walk, PELNI Funwalk Fest 2025 featured various engaging activities, including group aerobics, arcade games, and entertainment involving local communities.
To promote a healthy lifestyle and the well-being of both land and sea employees, PELNI provides BPJS Health and Employment coverage, life insurance, and regular Medical Check-Ups (MCUs). PELNI has also installed table tennis facilities on all passenger vessels to support crew physical activity. Furthermore, PELNI collaborates with PELNI Hospital to conduct MCUs for crew, follow-up treatments, occupational therapy, and chronic disease care.
