To improve the quality of its cargo services, the Makassar Branch of PELNI has implemented several measures, including ensuring the readiness of reliable vessels to guarantee the safety and punctuality of shipments, providing educational outreach to logistics service users to clarify shipping regulations and procedures, and introducing the use of the MyCargoo application to facilitate digital booking and cargo tracking.
Head of PELNI Makassar Branch, Darman, stated that the company continues to educate the public to ensure smooth logistics distribution.
“We continuously provide education through various channels such as media, banners, and ticket inserts to ensure that our customers understand the rules and procedures in place. We also encourage the public to take advantage of technological conveniences like the MyCargoo app and Redpack service to simplify the shipping process,” said Darman.
Darman also explained that the Redpack service is available to accommodate excess baggage exceeding 40 kg, offering a practical and efficient solution for businesses and passengers.
“We are optimistic that with these cargo service improvements, we can further strengthen maritime connectivity and drive economic growth in Eastern Indonesia,” Darman concluded.
In this regard, PELNI Makassar Branch is committed to facilitating logistics distribution, expanding market access, and improving community welfare in line with the government's mission to advance 3TP areas and the national economy.
