PT PELNI (Persero) has once again expanded its Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certifications for its passenger vessels. This additional certification further enhances food safety for meals served to passengers.
The HACCP certificates for three PELNI ships were handed over directly by Sucofindo’s Director of Industrial Services, Budi Utomo, to PELNI’s Director of Passenger Transportation Business, Nuraini Dessy, onboard KM Bukit Siguntang while docked at Semayang Port, Balikpapan, on Thursday (10/12). The three vessels are KM Awu, KM Kelud, and KM Bukit Siguntang.
This certification ensures that all meals served on PELNI ships have undergone rigorous quality control processes.
In 2025, PELNI also aims to obtain the SLHS (Hygiene and Sanitation Eligibility Certification) as proof that its vessels comply with health, hygiene, and product quality standards for all food served onboard.
