Jakarta, May 17, 2021 - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) is returning to serve ship ticket sales online during the tightening period after the Idul Fitri 1442 H homecoming, in accordance with SE Kasatgas No.13 of 2021. This online service will re-opened on May 18, 2021 through the Company's official website and PELNI Mobile Apps.

The Head of Corporate Secretary of PT PELNI Opik Taufik said that in the post-homecoming tightening, the Company will again serve online ticket bookings, 162 contact centers, travel agents, and ticket sales partners. “The company has reactivated all ticket sales channels to accommodate our customers again. During the post-homecoming tightening period, all PELNI ships are fully operational while still implementing the applicable health protocols, "he said.
In accordance with SE Kasatgas No. 13 of 2021, post-homecoming tightening in 2021 on 18 to 24 May 2021, travel restrictions will still be carried out, namely by attaching negative results through RT PCR / Rapid Test Antigen or GeNose C19 with results 1x24 hours. "We urge prospective passengers to prepare and pay attention to travel conditions as well as possible," explained Opik.
Until the last day of eliminating homecoming in 2021, starting from 6 to 17 May 2021, PT PELNI has dispatched 4,277 non-homecoming passengers for passenger ships and 11,350 passengers for pioneer ships. "We deliver non-homecoming travelers with requirements adjusted by SE Kasatgas No.13 of 2021. We also verify the files for travel requirements carefully, carefully and firmly in accordance with Company procedures," explained Opik.
Opik added that in order to tighten the travel health protocol using PELNI ships, the company has prepared GeNose C19 services on 23 passenger ships. "To ensure the health of the crew during the trip, apart from conducting a rapid antigen test before departure, each ship has also been provided with GeNose C19. This tool can also be used by passengers to anticipate passengers who suddenly have symptoms while traveling, ”added Opik.
PELNI as a State-Owned Enterprise which is engaged in sea transportation has operated 26 passenger ships and stopped at 76 ports and served 1,058 segments.
Apart from passenger transportation, PELNI also serves 45 pioneer ship routes which are a means of accessibility for population mobility in the 3TP area where pioneer ships stop at 285 ports with 3,811 sections. PELNI also operates 16 Rede ships. Meanwhile, in logistics business services, PELNI now operates 9 sea highway routes and 1 special route for livestock transportation.
