During Nataru 2021/2022, All of PELNI Ships are Ready to Operate

The company ensures the operational readiness of the ship for the smooth transportation of Nataru 2021/2022

Jakarta, 12 December 2021 - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) is ready to operate all its passenger ships to serve Christmas 2021 and New Year's 2022 transportation. The company ensures the operational readiness of ships for the smooth transportation of Nataru 2021/2022.

PT PELNI's Passenger Transportation Business Director O.M Sodikin said that to meet the high demand on certain sections during the 2021/2022 Nataru transportation period, PELNI will conduct rerouting for its two passenger ships, KM Tidar and KM Kelud. "KM Tidar will add routes to Ambon and for KM Kelud it will increase the frequency of shipping with the Batam - Belawan section," explained Sodikin.

During the Nataru transportation period, KM Tidar will serve the route Makassar - BauBau - Namlea - Ambon - Tual - Dobo - Kaimana - FakFak - Sorong - Manokwari - Nabire - Manikwari - Sorong - Ambon - FakFak - Kaimana - Dobo - Tual - Ambon - Namlea - BauBau - Makassar. Meanwhile KM Kelud will serve the route (A): Tanjung Priok - Batam - Tanjung Balai Karimun - Belawan - Tanjung Balai Karimun - Batam - Tanjung Priok and route (B): Tanjung Priok - Kijang - Batam - Belawan - Batam - Belawan - Batam - Deer - Tanjung Priok.

In serving passengers in the 2021/2022 Nataru period, the Company will implement strict health protocols in accordance with the SE Covid Task Force No. 24 of 2021 and SE Menhub No. 95 of 2021. In these rules, prospective passengers are required to include a negative PCR test result with a sampling period of 3 x 24 hours or a negative result of a rapid antigen test with a sampling period of 1 x 24 hours before departure. "All prospective passengers on the PELNI ship are required to use the PeduliLindung application as a condition of travel. Through this application, officers will check the results of the PCR/Rapid Antigen Test and the status of the Covid-19 vaccination when checking in," explained Sodikin.

According to the provisions, PELNI will sell tickets as much as 50% of the ship's capacity. Ticket purchases can be obtained through the website www.pelni.co.id, PELNI Mobile Apps, ticket sales agents and 45 PT PELNI branch offices spread throughout Indonesia with cashless payment methods.

In addition, in order to maintain order, shipping security and the comfort of PELNI ship passengers during the Naru transportation period, Sodikin again appealed to all prospective passengers to bring their luggage in accordance with applicable regulations. Passengers are allowed to bring luggage with a maximum weight of 40 kg with a maximum dimension of 70 x 40 x 35 cm.

PELNI as a State-Owned Enterprise engaged in sea transportation has currently operated 26 passenger ships and visited 83 ports and served 1,058 segments.

In addition to passenger transportation, PELNI also serves 45 pioneer ship routes which are a means of accessibility for population mobility in the 3TP area, where pioneer ships stop at 285 ports with 3,811 segments. PELNI also operates 16 Rede vessels. Meanwhile, in logistics business services, PELNI now operates 10 sea toll routes and 1 special route for livestock transportation.
