During the period of eliminating the Idul Fitri 1442 H homecoming period, as many as 26 PELNI passenger ships will be converted to transport logistical loads, medicines and medical equipment, as well as other essential goods needed by the region.

"To support government steps in preventing the spread of COVID-19 during this Eid, PELNI will operate its fleet to transport cargo and implement strict health protocols to serve passengers. which are exempted in SE Kasatgas COVID-19 No.13 of 2021, "explained Opik.
According to the regulations, during the period of eliminating the homecoming in 2021 the PELNI ships will operate to transport the return of Indonesian Migrant Workers, Indonesian Migrant Workers, the return of Indonesian crew members on foreign ships, Indonesian citizens from ports of border countries, TNI / POLRI / ASN / medical personnel on duty.
In addition, ships are also allowed to carry passengers for the purpose of visiting sick families, visits of grief / death, or childbirth, and for routine transportation limited shipping within one sub-district, one district, and one province on the condition that shipping is carried out between islands within the region.
Exempted passengers must have a travel permit or exit / entry permit (SIKM) from the head of the workplace or from the local Village Head or Lurah as well as a Covid-19 examination certificate with negative results. "The use of SIKM is not required for shipping passengers in the 3TP area as well as TNI / POLRI / ASN / medical personnel who are carrying out their duties," he added.
As a step in suppressing the spread of COVID-19 on Idul Fitri 1442 H, the Company ensures that it does not sell ship tickets for departures from 6 to 17 May 2021. "The PELNI ship will resume shipping on 18 May 2021. For negative results of the rapid antigen test and genose itself only 1x24 hours before the ship's departure during the period 22 April - 5 May 2021 and 18 - 24 May 2021, "explained Opik.
Regarding boat ticket sales, Opik Taufik added that from April 22 to May 18, 2021, all passenger ticket sales were only served through PELNI counters which are available in all branch offices. "During this period of eliminating homecoming, sales through the website, PELNI Mobile Apps, online channels and ticket agents are temporarily suspended," added Opik.
