Jakarta, 26 April 2021 - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia - PT PELNI (Persero) is ready to comply with the provisions of eliminating homecoming by temporarily suspending sea transportation for passengers from 6 to 17 May 2021. This is in accordance with the SE Addendum of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force No. 13 of 2021 concerning the Elimination of the Idul Fitri Day of 1442 H Homecoming and Efforts to Control the Spread of Covid 19 During the Holy Month of Ramadan 1442 H and Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number PM 13 of 2021.
Acting. The Head of PT PELNI Corporate Secretariat Opik Taufik explained that in principle the Company obeys and complies with Government regulations in eliminating homecoming in 2021. In suppressing the spread of COVID-19 on Idul Fitri 1442 H, PELNI ship ticket sales will only be served with ships arriving at the last port on May 5, 2021. "The company ensures that it does not sell ship tickets for departure from May 6 to 17, 2021," said Opik.
He added, PELNI ship will return to sailing on May 18, 2021. For negative results of rapid antigen and genose tests itself, only 1x24 hours before the ship's departure during the period 22 April - 5 May 2021 and 18 - 24 May 2021.
Regarding boat ticket sales, Opik Taufik added that from April 22 to May 18, 2021, all passenger ticket sales were only served through PELNI counters which are available in all branch offices. "During this period of eliminating homecoming, sales through the website, PELNI Mobile Apps, online channels and ticket agents are temporarily suspended," added Opik.
For information, during the 2021 homecoming phase, a number of PELNI passenger ships were on standby at the homebase port (base). "The ship will be alerted and ready to operate whenever needed. For logistics distribution services, the company plans to operate 9 passenger ships without carrying travelers," he explained.

Apart from passenger transportation, PELNI also serves 45 pioneer ship routes which are a means of accessibility for population mobility in the 3TP area where pioneer ships stop at 285 ports with 3,811 sections. PELNI also operates 16 Rede ships. Meanwhile, in logistics business services, PELNI now operates 9 sea highway routes and 1 special route for livestock transportation.
