Jakarta, 29 April 2022 - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia - PT PELNI (Persero) has dispatched KM Ciremai to transport homecomers and motorbikes in the free motorbike homecoming program by ship. The ship departed from Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, Friday (29/4), and then headed to Semarang and Surabaya.
The departure of KM Ciremai was attended by the Indonesian Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi accompanied by the President Director of PT PELNI (Persero) Tri Andayani along with the PELNI board of directors and other port stakeholders.
KM Ciremai is the second ship to be dispatched in this program. Previously, KM Dobonsolo had departed from Tanjung Priok Port on Tuesday (26/4). Present to release KM Dobonsolo, Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, accompanied by the Board of Directors of PELNI and other port stakeholders.

The company noted that 216 motorcycles and 470 homecomers had departed with KM Dobonsolo to Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang and Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya. As for 197 units of motorcycles and 413 travelers to the Port of Tanjung Emas Semarang and 19 units of motorcycles and 57 travelers to the Port of Tanjung Perak, Surabaya.
Meanwhile, for the departure of KM Ciremai, there were 703 motorbikes and 1,628 travelers. Of this number, 649 units of motorcycles and 1,481 travelers departed for Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang and 54 units of motorcycles and 147 travelers headed for Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya.

The return cruise will start from Surabaya on Monday (9/5) with KM Ciremai and then KM Dobonsolo on Wednesday (11/5). KM Ciremai and KM Dobonsolo are ships with a 3 in 1 type. These ships can not only carry passengers, but can also transport goods and vehicles. During the 2022 Eid transportation period, KM Ciremai sails the Tanjung Priok - Semarang - Surabaya - Makassar - BauBau - Sorong (PP) route. Meanwhile, KM Dobonsolo sails the Tanjung Priok - Semarang - Surabaya - Makassar - BauBau - Ambon - Sorong - Serui - Jayapura (PP) route.

PELNI as a State-Owned Enterprise engaged in sea transportation has currently operated 26 passenger ships and visited 76 ports and served 1,058 segments.
