PT PELNI Sea Freight and Toll Transport Business Director Masrul Khalimi said that at this Nataru 2020/2021 moment, the load increased due to the large demand for basic food materials in the 3TP area to welcome Nataru 2020/2021. “Most of the goods transported are basic necessities, such as rice, cooking oil, sugar and wheat flour. Besides that, there are also industrial products such as mineral water, beverages, snacks and instant noodles, "said Masrul.

At this year's Nataru moment, the highest departure load was 181 TEUs on T-10, namely KM Logistik Nusantara 6 with the Tg. Perak - Tidore - Galela - Morotai - Buli - Maba - Veda - Tg. Silver. "The T-10 route is indeed a mainstay route and has the most cargo compared to other routes, followed by the T-15 route, namely KM Logistik Nusantara 3," added Masrul.

Masrul added that the sea highway is also used for return cargo from the 3TP area to Java Island, this is intended to foster reverse cargo flow connectivity and develop the existing potential in the 3TP area. "Usually for the return cargo products or potentials that exist in the eastern region, such as logs, copra, coconuts, marine products, and so on," said Masrul.

PT PELNI always complies with the regulations regarding the cargo of Sea Toll ships in accordance with Presidential Decree 71/2015. Cargo permitted to be transported by Sea Highway consists of categories of basic agricultural products such as rice, soybeans, chilies and shallots; basic industrial needs (sugar, cooking oil, wheat flour); basic needs of livestock and fishery products (beef, chicken, eggs, fresh fish); essential goods (seeds, fertilizers, 3kg LPG gas, plywood, cement, steel, mild steel) and other goods (mineral water, garlic, salt, medicines and so on).
