On 70th Anniversary, PELNI Departs Bus Homecomers to Seven Cities

This homecoming program is a form of the Company's commitment at the age of 70 to the safety of PELNI Group employees and the community in carrying out Eid homecoming in 2022.

Jakarta, April 29, 2022 – Enlivening the celebration of the 70th Anniversary of PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) which fell on Thursday (28/4), PT PELNI dispatched travelers to seven cities in Indonesia, namely Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Solo , Purwokerto, Kebumen and Bandar Lampung. The program entitled "Safe Homecoming Healthy Homecoming with BUMN 2022" departed from the PT PELNI Head Office at Jalan Gajah Mada No.14, Central Jakarta on Thursday (28/4).

Head of PT PELNI Corporate Secretariat Opik Taupik said that as a celebration of the 70th Anniversary PT PELNI participated in free homecoming activities organized by the Ministry of SOEs. "At the age of seven decades, as an expression of the Company's gratitude, we are participating in the 2022 BUMN Joint Homecoming. Alhamdulillah, as many as four buses have departed today to seven cities in Indonesia with a total of 114 homecoming participants. All of these activities are free of charge, he said.

Previously, PT PELNI had dispatched one bus from Gelora Bung Karno together with SOE Minister Erick Tohir and 25 other SOEs who were members of the "Safe Homecoming Healthy Homecoming with BUMN 2022", Wednesday (27/4). “This safe and healthy homecoming program is a form of BUMN's contribution to serve the community at the time of Lebaran homecoming. Especially this year is a special moment for the overseas community, considering that for 2 years people have not carried out homecoming because of restrictions, "explained Opik.

Opik added, this homecoming program is also a form of the Company's commitment at the age of 70 to the safety of PELNI Group employees and the community in carrying out Eid homecoming in 2022. "We hope that this program can provide benefits for all travelers so that they can celebrate happiness with their families in the village. safely," added Opik.

Furthermore, Opik hopes that the homecoming participants will be safe and healthy while still complying with the health protocols applied during the trip and during the celebration of Eid Al-Fitr 1443 H in their hometown. This effort is made to maintain the happiness of Eid al-Fitr and can suppress the growth rate of Covid-19 in Indonesia.

For information, the bus travel routes that PT PELNI will depart for the 2022 Healthy Homecoming with BUMN are:

a. Jakarta – Surabaya (Via Jogja)

b. Jakarta – Surabaya (Via Semarang)

c. Jakarta – Solo (Via Purwokerto, Kebumen, Jogja)

d. Jakarta – Bandar Lampung

PELNI as a State-Owned Enterprise engaged in sea transportation has currently operated 26 passenger ships and stopped at 76 ports and served 1,058 segments.

In addition to passenger transportation, PELNI also serves 44 pioneer ship routes which are a means of accessibility for population mobility in the 3TP area, where pioneer ships stop at 285 ports with 3,695 segments. PELNI also operates 16 Rede vessels. Meanwhile, in logistics business services, PELNI now operates 10 sea toll routes and 1 special route for livestock transportation.
