PELNI Provides CSR Assistance for PELNI Hospital

PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) once again distributed several CSR assistance to medical personnel at PELNI Hospital.

Jakarta, September 12, 2020 - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) once again distributed several CSR assistance to medical personnel at PELNI Hospital. This was done as a form of the Company's support for medical personnel who were still struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

he CSR provided was 100 personal protective equipment, 640 rapid test kits, and shuttle transportation facilities for PELNI Hospital medical personnel. The assistance handed by the Head of PT PELNI Corporate Secretary Yahya Kuncoro and received by the Head of the PELNI Hospital, Dr. Dewi Fankhuningdyah at PELNI Hospital on Friday (11/9) morning.

Yahya explained that this is a part of the Company's responsibility and PELNI's contribution to fighting COVID-19. "Seeing that there are still high cases of the spread of COVID-19, PELNI is committed to continuing to provide support to medical personnel as the frontline in handling COVID-19," he said.

Apart from medical assistance, PELNI also shows its concern for all parties including PELNI ship crew who continue to provide services to ship passengers throughout the archipelago. As a form of prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic, PELNI also distributed thousands of masks for crew members and gave multivitamins to maintain the immune system of all crew members.

Besides, the Company will also provide care kits for passengers sailing on PELNI ships during this pandemic. "As a form of corporate responsibility, PELNI is committed to participating in breaking the chain of the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia," he explained.

PELNI is a State-Owned Enterprise that operates in the field of sea transportation has currently operated as many as 26 passenger ships and visited 83 ports and served 1,100 sections.

In addition to passenger transportation, PELNI also serves 45 pioneer ship routes which become a means of accessibility for population mobility in the 3TP area where pioneer vessels stop at 275 ports with 3,739 sections. PELNI also operates a total of 20 Rede vessels.

Whereas in the logistics business services, PELNI now operates 4 cargo ships, 8 sea toll vessels, and 1 cattle-specific vessel.
