Jakarta, 14 December 2022 - - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) has succeeded in obtaining the title of an Informative Public Agency from the Central Information Commission. Reaching the title of Informative for the first time, PT PELNI has successfully shot to sixth place out of the top 10 BUMNs for the same category.
The Informative Public Company title was announced and submitted directly by the Commissioner for Advocacy, Outreach and Education Samrotunnajah to the Director of Finance and Risk Management of PT PELNI Anik Hidayati at the 2022 Public Information Openness Award event in Tangerang, Wednesday (14/12).
After receiving the award, Anik expressed his gratitude to the Central Information Commission for awarding PT PELNI as an Informative Public Agency from the BUMN group. "This award is the best gift at the end of the year for PT PELNI because we did not expect to immediately enter the top 10 informative SOEs. I also thank KIP for helping a lot and our team who succeeded in realizing PELNI as an Informative SOE. the next is to maintain and improve it," said Anik.
For information, public information disclosure is a mandate of Law no. 14/2018 with KIP as a state institution overseeing its implementation through Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Agency Information Disclosure and reporting directly to the President. Every year, KIP evaluates 372 public bodies, including SOEs, and releases the assessment to the public through the Public Information Disclosure Award.
The assessment is divided into the qualifications of public bodies that are Not Informative, Less Informative, Moderately Informative, Towards Informative, and Informative with respective score ranges from 0 - 39.9 for Not Informative and 90 - 100 for Informative.
"Praise be to God, for the first time PT PELNI has been assessed as an Informative Public Agency with a final point of 97.35. This point is based on an assessment of a number of indicators which include infrastructure, quality of information, type of information, organizational commitment, digitization, as well as goods and services. added Anik.
PELNI as a State-Owned Enterprise engaged in shipping services currently operates 26 Passenger Ships serving 1,058 sections and visiting 76 ports.
Apart from passenger transportation, PELNI also serves 44 Pioneer Ship routes which are a means of accessibility for population mobility in the 3TP area, where Pioneer Ships stop at 281 ports with a total of 3,695 sections. PELNI also operates as many as 16 Rede Ships. For logistics business services, currently PELNI operates 10 Sea Highway routes and 1 special route for Livestock Vessels.
