Jakarta, March 4, 2026 – PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) has confirmed its full readiness for the 2026 Eid Transportation (Angkutan Lebaran) period. The PELNI Eid transportation period will officially run from March 6 to April 6, 2026, with the peak of the homecoming flow projected to occur on March 18, 2026.
PELNI President Director Tri Andayani, commonly known as Anda, stated that the projected total passengers for this year’s Eid transportation period will reach 641 thousand people. To support the expected surge, PELNI has ensured the readiness of 55 vessels, consisting of 25 passenger ships and 30 pioneer vessels.

We ensure that PELNI vessels are ready to carry people safely as they return home and share hope with their families,” said Anda.
Anda also emphasized that preparations have been carried out based on three main pillars: safety first, zero accident, and service excellence. In addition, all PELNI crew members have fulfilled mandatory certification requirements in accordance with international regulations, ensuring that crew qualifications meet the standards necessary to maintain maritime safety.
“We have conducted comprehensive ramp checks together with the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation on all passenger ships to ensure seaworthiness, while also monitoring the availability of fuel, fresh water, logistics supplies, as well as passenger and crew facilities,” Anda added.
She also reminded passengers to always comply with safety protocols on board, maintain cleanliness, and follow instructions from the crew during the voyage.
“We encourage all prospective passengers to book their tickets well in advance through official channels to avoid long queues at ports. We also ensure that every PELNI vessel and crew member is ready to serve the public wholeheartedly,” Anda concluded.
To ensure the smooth operation of the Eid transportation period, PELNI has also conducted ship safety workshops for all crew members, prepared joint command posts and BMKG monitoring, adjusted routes and sailing schedules, and deployed additional internal and external security personnel both on board and at ports.
