PELNI Offers Up to 30% Discount on Passenger Ship Tickets for the School Holiday Season

Jakarta, June 4, 2026 – PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) is supporting the government's national economic stimulus program by offering discounted passenger ship fares during the 2026 school holiday period. The public can enjoy a 30 percent discount on the base fare of Economy Class passenger ship tickets across all passenger routes operated by PELNI.

The discounted fares apply to ticket purchases made starting June 6, 2026, for departures between June 20 and August 15, 2026. This program is expected to increase public mobility during the school holiday season while providing more affordable access to sea transportation services for communities across Indonesia.

PELNI Corporate Secretary, Ditto Pappilanda, stated that the discount program reflects PELNI’s support for the government’s efforts to encourage public mobility and stimulate regional economic activities during the school holiday period.

"The school holiday season is always one of the periods with high public mobility. Through this program, PELNI aims to provide greater convenience for people traveling by safe, comfortable, and affordable sea transportation, while also supporting tourism and economic growth in various regions connected by PELNI's services," said Ditto.

Ditto added that the program is expected to benefit approximately 693,000 customers across Indonesia who use PELNI passenger ship services during the school holiday period.

"We encourage the public to plan their trips and purchase tickets as early as possible, as the quota for discounted tickets is limited. Once the quota has been fully utilized, normal fares will apply again," Ditto added.

Ditto also reminded customers that the discounted fares do not apply to tickets purchased before June 6, 2026, or after August 15, 2026. In addition, tickets purchased prior to the program period are not eligible for fare difference refunds resulting from the implementation of the discount.

"All passengers are also required to travel using the identity stated on their tickets. PELNI continues to encourage the public to purchase tickets through official sales channels to avoid potential misuse or fraud," Ditto concluded.

Through this policy, PELNI hopes that more people will be able to enjoy affordable sea transportation services during the school holiday period while further strengthening inter-regional connectivity across Indonesia.

PELNI tickets can be purchased through all official sales channels, including the PELNI Mobile application, the PELNI website, Contact Center 162, Branch Office ticket counters, BCA Mobile Lifestyle feature, myBCA, Sukha by Livin' Mandiri, BNI Agen46, BRImo, BRILink Agents, Gopay, OVO, MyTelkomsel, Indomaret and OMI Mitra Indogrosir networks, Alfamart and Alfamidi networks, ATA Tour, Fastpay, Easybook, VIA.com, MMBC, Darmawisata Indonesia, Versa, and Topindo.

For payment services, PELNI has partnered with BRIVA, BNI Virtual Account, Permata Bank, Mandiri Virtual Account, Indomaret and OMI Mitra Indomaret, Alfamart and Alfamidi networks, iSaku, Finpay, and Fastpay.
