PELNI, PTPN IV, and Perhutani Collaborate to Launch 2025 BUMN Homecoming Post at Batam Port, Supporting a Pleasant Eid Travel Experience

Batam, March 28, 2025 – PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero), in collaboration with PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV and Perum Perhutani, has launched the 2025 BUMN Homecoming Post at Bintang 99 Port, Batam, on Friday (3/28). Homebound travelers sailing with PELNI from Batam can receive free health checks at the BUMN Joint Homecoming Post located within the port area.

Head of PELNI Batam Branch, Edwin Kurniansyah, welcomed the presence of the 2025 BUMN Joint Post, which aims to provide comfort to travelers and highlight the involvement of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) during the 1446 H Eid homecoming season.
“In collaboration with PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV and Perum Perhutani, we aim to create a joyful and enjoyable homecoming experience. We hope this BUMN Homecoming Post will be fully utilized by travelers,” said Edwin during his visit to the location.

Two PELNI ships are scheduled to depart from Batam Port:

  • KM Kelud, heading to Medan, carrying 3,471 passengers

  • KM Nggapulu, heading to Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, with 2,743 passengers

In addition to health services such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol checks, the 2025 BUMN Homecoming Post at Batam Port—presented by PELNI, PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV, and Perum Perhutani—also provides free reflexology massages for travelers. For passengers found to be unwell, free medication is also available.

“We’re pampering our passengers with health check services and massages. We’ve also provided a play area for toddlers and children. While parents get a check-up or massage, the kids can play—everyone’s happy,” Edwin added.
