PELNI Wins Gold Winner in the 2020 Spotlight Awards Global Communications Competition

PT PELNI (Persero) won the Gold Winner and Top 100 Worldwide titles in the Corporate Publishing Competition and Global Communications Competition categories

Jakarta, 13 November 2020 - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero) - PT PELNI (Persero) received a prestigious award at the 2020 Spotlight Awards Global Communications Competition. In this competition, the Annual Report (AR) - PT PELNI (Persero) Annual Report won the Gold Winner and Top 100 Worldwide predicate in the Corporate Publishing Competition and Global Communications Competition categories. The names of the winners were announced on Tuesday (10/11).

Head of Corporate Secretary of PT PELNI (Persero) Yahya Kuncoro said that the Company's participation in this event is a form of commitment and seriousness in building transparency of the Company's performance to realize a culture of good corporate governance in all lines of business to its subsidiaries. "In this event, our Annual Report is included in the Top 100 Worldwide Companies throughout the world. This achievement is inseparable from the full support of the entire Company's management and stakeholders who continue to encourage the performance and implementation of GCG in the Company," he explained.

In this event, PT PELNI (Persero) included the 2019 Annual Report with the theme "Aiming For Bigger Dream" (Aiming for Bigger Dreams) with a score of 98 out of 100. The assessment criteria included six points, namely first impression, overall narrative, overall visual design, creativity, message clarity, and perceived relevance.

"PELNI obtained these results based on the clarity of information contained in the aspect of disclosure of information in terms of financial data summaries presented for 5 consecutive years, presented in full in the company performance report, financial position and financial ratios," he added.

The 2020 Spotlight Awards Global Communications Competition is an award event organized by the League of American Communication Professionals LLC (LACP). LACP was founded in 2001 to create a forum within the public relations industry that facilitates discussion/discussion of best-in-class practices as a profession and also recognizes/appreciates those who demonstrate exemplary communication skills. Competitions are held quarterly and regularly include hundreds of participants from recognized organizations around the world.
 

PELNI is a State-Owned Enterprise that operates in the field of sea transportation has currently operated as many as 26 passenger ships and visited 83 ports and served 1,100 sections.

In addition to passenger transportation, PELNI also serves 45 pioneer ship routes which become a means of accessibility for population mobility in the 3TP area where pioneer vessels stop at 275 ports with 3,739 sections. PELNI also operates a total of 20 Rede vessels. Whereas in the logistics business services, PELNI now operates 4 cargo ships, 8 sea toll vessels, and 1 cattle-specific vessel.
