Still Under Repair, Passengers of KM Bukit Raya to Surabaya Transported by KM Lawit
Jakarta, May 4, 2024 -- In connection with the repairs due to the incident experienced by KM Bukit Raya some time ago, passengers from Pontianak to Surabaya will be transported using KM Lawit. This causes KM Lawit to change its route by not stopping in Semarang and Kumai.
Head of PELNI Corporate Secretariat Evan Eryanto said that the omission or change in the route of KM Lawit was carried out to anticipate the large number of passengers from Pontianak to Surabaya. "For this, we apologize to our customers in Karimun Jawa and Kumai, and are advised to adjust their travel schedules or use other transportation options," explained Evan.
KM Lawit is planned to depart from Pontianak Port on Sunday (5/5) at 04.00 LT and is estimated to arrive in Surabaya on Tuesday (7/5) at 09.00 LT. From Surabaya, this 1000 pax type ship will continue its journey to Batulicin and Kumai.
To find out the availability of tickets and ship schedules, PELNI customers are advised to view them on the PELNI Mobile application. If you find other parties or brokers offering tickets, they can report this to the nearest PELNI officer.
The KM Lawit route for the 2-18 May sailing period includes Tanjung Priok - Tanjung Pandan - Pontianak - Surabaya - Batulicin - Kumai - Semarang - Kumai - Surabaya - Pontianak.
