PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) won two awards in the categories "Top CSR Awards 2020 # Star 4" and "Top Leader on CSR Commitment 2020"

Jakarta, July 29, 2020 - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) again received a prestigious award today. This time, PELNI won two awards from Top Business as the category "Top CSR Awards 2020 # Star 4" and "Top Leader on CSR Commitment 2020" in Jakarta, Wednesday (29/7).

The two awards were given by the Chairman of the NawaCita Social Initiative (NSI) Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Ediwan Prabowo who was accompanied by MB Consulting As'ad Nugroho and the Management of the NawaCita Research Institute (LKN) Sulistio to the Finance Director of PT PELNI Ony Suprihartono in the Top Awards Summit The 2020 CSR Awards with the theme Strategic CSR for Sustainable Business Growth in New Normal Era.

After receiving the award, Ony Suprihartono thanked the organizers of the Top CSR Awards for the award given to PT PELNI. "We are committed to the social responsibility of the company as a state-owned company to the community, especially now that Indonesia is adapting to a condition of new habits," said Ony.

The TOP CSR Awards 2020 is an assessment and awarding activity for companies operating in Indonesia, which is considered to have carried out the best CSR / PKBL programs. This assessment is based on the CSR policy system, CSR governance, and the relationship between CSR and business strategy.

 

As a recipient of Top CSR Awards 2020 # Star 4, it means that PELNI's CSR policies and governance systems are at the Very Good level, and are said to have supported the company's sustainable business strategy. "CSR / PKBL PELNI is carried out as a form of our concern for the community and the surrounding environment, we are trying to create a harmonious relationship between the Company and the community and the environment and provide benefits for both parties," said Ony.

For information, PELNI's CSR activities this year are focused on handling Covid-19. "We have provided a HEPA filter, personal protective equipment, and rapid tests kit for PELNI Hospital, we also provide transportation assistance for PELNI Hospital medical personnel. In addition, we also provide basic food assistance for orphan foundations and residents around PELNI Headquarters, "said Ony.

On another occasion, President Director of PT PELNI Insan Purwarisya L. Tobing as the winner of the 2020 Top Leader on CSR Commitment, thanked the organizers who have given the award.
