PELNI and Ministry of Transportation Release the First Voyage of KM Logistik Nusantara 4 FY 2025
Jakarta, January 6, 2025 - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) has again won the trust of the Government through the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation to carry out the assignment of the Sea Toll Program for Fiscal Year 2025. This was proven by the maiden voyage of KM Logistik Nusantara 4 from Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, on Monday (06/01).
The release of the maiden voyage of KM Lognus 4 was carried out by the Head of Sub-Directorate 3 of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Capt. Ari Wibowo together with PELNI's Director of Goods Transport and Sea Toll Business Kokok Susanto. Also present were PELNI Vice President of Non-Commercial Goods Business Sauban Muksin, Head of PELNI Jakarta Branch Dicky Dermawandi and a number of stakeholder leaders at Tanjung Priok Port.
PELNI Director of Goods Transport and Sea Toll Business Kokok Susanto said that the launch of KM Logistik Nusantara 4 was a symbol of the continuation of the Sea Toll Program assignment given by the Government to PELNI.
“We would like to thank the Government for again entrusting PELNI to carry out the Sea Toll assignment. We are determined to meet the voyage target given to provide affordable and scheduled freight transportation,” said Kokok.
KM Lognus 4 is a PELNI-owned freighter with a capacity of 115 TEUS which serves the T-2 route with the route Tanjung Priok - Tanjung Uban - Letung - Tarempa - Selat Lampa - Subi - Serasan - Midai - Tanjung Uban - Tanjung Priok.
In 2025, PELNI is still assigned to run eight Sea Toll routes. Meanwhile in 2024, with the same number of routes, PELNI managed to meet the 100 percent target of 120 voyages. Meanwhile for 2025, PELNI is targeted to undergo 118 voyages for eight routes.
“The number of votages is still possible to be added if ship operations allow. For this year we have added three new ports, namely Nunukan which is visited by KM Lognus 2 on the H-1 route, Tual Port on KM Lognus 1 for the T-24 route, and Tanjung Uban Port on KM Lognus 4. For 2025, the total ports visited are 33 out of 32 ports in 2024,” said Kokok.
