Jakarta, 17 April 2023 — PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero) dispatched 150 travelers for free from the Nusantara Passenger Terminal of Tanjung Priok Port using KM Dorolonda for Jakarta-Batam destinations. This activity is the result of PELNI's collaboration with four other companies, namely PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), PT Telkomsel, PT PLN (Persero), and PT Angkasa Pura I in the Dinanti Homecoming, Homecoming in the Heart with BUMN 2023 activity.
PELNI Vice President Treasury Fauziah Verryna, Executive Director of the TJSL Forum I Gede Arimbawa Yasa, CSR Planning & Distribution Senior Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Herriyanto, Head of Sea Traffic at the Office of the Tanjung Priok Port Authority Rudi, Head of the Jakarta PELNI Branch Anwar Sanusi, and Vice President of Non-Commercial Passenger Business PELNI Presda Simangasing.
"As a sea transportation BUMN, we are proud to be given the trust to be able to serve the community through BUMN's Free Homecoming to return home and celebrate Eid al-Fitr with relatives. We also want to thank the Ministry of SOEs and the SOE TJSL Forum for always taking the PIC of Homecoming with SOEs 2023 for choosing the sea transportation mode as the fleet of choice in this year's free homecoming service," said PELNI Treasury Vice President Fauziah Verryna.
Verryna detailed, this year the available quota was 1,128 passengers in the 2023 BUMN Free Mudik activity using the PELNI ship which was attended by four companies namely PELINDO, PELNI, PLN Makassar, and Angkasa Pura I.
According to him, the 1,128 passengers will be served by 6 fleets of ships spread across various routes, including:
1. KM Ciremai, route Tanjung Priok-Sorong and Tanjung Priok-Ambon
2. KM Kelimutu, Kumai-Surabaya and Kumai-Semarang routes
3. KM Tidar, Makassar-Namlea and Makassar-Ambon routes
4. KM Kelud, Batam-Belawan route
5. KM Dorolonda, Tanjung Priok-Batam and Makassar-Surabaya routes
6. KM Lambelu, Makassar-Bau Bau route
Then, to serve Lebaran transportation this year, PELNI operates as many as 26 passenger ships and 42 pioneer ships. All PELNI ships have also been equipped with adequate safety equipment. On PELNI ships, there are also various public facilities that can be enjoyed by passengers during the trip, there are places of worship (mushola), boat shops, cafeterias, and polyclinics. The entire crew of the ship is also on standby 24 hours.
“We hope to provide a good experience for travelers. They can also return to their hometown safely and comfortably," he said.
