PT PELNI (Persero) has once again gained the Government's trust, through the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, to continue its assignment for the Sea Toll Program in the 2025 fiscal year. This was marked by the inaugural voyage of KM Logistik Nusantara 4 from Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, on Monday (6/1).
The departure ceremony for KM Logistik Nusantara 4 was officiated by Capt. Ari Wibowo, Sub-directorate Head 3 of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation, together with PELNI’s Director of Freight and Sea Toll Transport, Kokok Susanto. Also present were PELNI’s VP of Non-Commercial Cargo Business, Sauban Muksin, PELNI Jakarta Branch Head, Dicky Dermawandi, and several key port stakeholders.
PELNI’s Director of Freight and Sea Toll Transport, Kokok Susanto, stated that the launch of KM Logistik Nusantara 4 symbolizes the continuation of the Government's Sea Toll assignment to PELNI. “We appreciate the Government's continued trust in PELNI to carry out the Sea Toll mandate. We are committed to fulfilling the voyage targets to provide scheduled and affordable cargo transportation,” said Kokok.
KM Logistik Nusantara 4 is a PELNI-owned cargo vessel with a capacity of 115 TEUs, operating on route T-2, covering Tanjung Priok – Tanjung Uban – Letung – Tarempa – Selat Lampa – Subi – Serasan – Midai – Tanjung Uban – back to Tanjung Priok.
In 2025, PELNI will continue operating eight Sea Toll routes. In 2024, with the same number of routes, PELNI successfully completed 120 voyages, meeting its full target. For 2025, the company is tasked with 118 voyages. “That number may still increase if ship operations allow. This year, we are adding three new ports: Nunukan, served by KM Lognus 2 on route H-1; Tual, served by KM Lognus 1 on route T-24; and Tanjung Uban, now included in KM Lognus 4’s route,” Kokok explained.
Despite these additions, two ports will no longer be served by PELNI’s Sea Toll vessels in 2025—Patimban and Kijang. As a result, the total number of ports served will increase to 33, compared to 32 in 2024.
