Kokok Susanto, Director of Cargo and Sea Toll Business at PT PELNI (Persero), has been awarded the title of Best Chief Marketing Officer at the Indonesia Best CMO Awards held on Friday (October 31) in Jakarta.

The Indonesia Best CMO Awards once again took place, organized by Warta Ekonomi. In this prestigious event, PELNI earned recognition through its Director of Cargo and Sea Toll Business, Kokok Susanto, who was named Best Chief Marketing Officer 2025 in Promoting Sustainable Logistics Growth through Technology-Driven Sea Toll Services in the Shipping Industry category. The award was presented directly by Muhamad Ihsan, CEO & Chief Editor of Warta Ekonomi Group, to Kokok Susanto on Friday (October 31) in Jakarta.

Carrying the theme “Redefining the CMO Role in Indonesia’s Dynamic Market Landscape to Shape the Future of Brand and Business Growth,” the event highlighted the evolving role of Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs), who today are not only focused on marketing campaigns but also act as strategic leaders capable of linking brand strength with long-term business growth.

In its assessment process, Warta Ekonomi’s research team conducted desk research and media monitoring across various sources, including company reports, official publications, and positive sentiments found in mainstream and social media. The evaluation aimed to measure how well a CMO represents the company’s positive image while demonstrating a competitive edge within their industry.

The assessment period covered 2024 to 2025, with several key indicators serving as benchmarks, such as Creativity in Corporate Marketing Strategy, Managing Brand Equity & Influence, Digital Transformation with Customer-Centricity, and Brand Visibility & Media Exposure. Based on these criteria, PELNI was recognized for its creative marketing strategies that have contributed positively to the company’s business growth.

This achievement stands as concrete evidence of PELNI’s commitment to developing innovative, sustainable, and customer-oriented marketing strategies. PELNI continues to strengthen its position as a resilient, modern, and adaptive national shipping company that evolves with technological advancements and market needs.
