Surabaya, January 3, 2022 -- PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) launched the first voyage of PELNI ships in 2022, namely KM Logistik Nusantara 3 (T-15) and KM Kendhaga Nusantara 11 (T-13). Throughout 2021, PT PELNI has transported 12,639 TEUs of cargo, consisting of 8,438 TEUs of departing loads and 4,201 TEUs of return loads.
The inaugural release of the PELNI sea toll ship was carried out by the Director of the Sea Toll and Goods Transportation of PT PELNI Yahya Kuncoro and the Director of the Passenger Transport Business of PT PELNI O.M Sodikin together with the Director of Traffic and Sea Transportation of the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation DR. Capt. Mugen Suprihatin Sartoto, M.SC, Monday (3/1) in Surabaya.
On this occasion, Yahya Kuncoro expressed his gratitude to the Government through the Ministry of Transportation for their trust in PT PELNI to carry out the assignment as an operator to maintain Indonesia's connectivity. "Alhamdulillah, in 2022 we are given the trust again to operate 44 pioneer ship routes, 16 rede ships, 10 sea toll ships and 1 cattle ship," he said.
Company data shows that the PELNI sea toll vessel cargo has increased. When compared to 2020, PELNI's cargo increased by 43% or increased by 3,781 TEUs. "For 2022, we are targeting PELNI's sea toll load of 12,521 TEUs. This target is our enthusiasm and commitment to continue to serve the community up to the 3TP area, "explained Yahya.
The reverse charge in 2021 also experienced an increase compared to the reverse charge in 2020, which was up by 24% or an increase of 1,009 TEUs. "Currently the return load is almost balanced with the departing load, it is hoped that with the ship promoting the trade it can encourage the 3TP regional economy. Therefore, we continue to invite local governments to continue to take advantage of the sea toll counterloads to market their regional superior commodities," he concluded.
For information, in 2022 PT PELNI (Persero) won the trust of the Government to run 10 sea toll routes, namely:
1. The T-19 route is navigable by KM Logistik Nusantara 2 with the route Sorong – Depapre/Jayapura - Biak/Korido - Sorong - Pomako - Merauke - Pomako - Kokas - Sorong
2. The T-15 route is navigable by KM Logistik Nusantara 3 with the Tg. Perak - Makassar - Jailolo - Morotai - Tg. Silver.
3. The T-3 route is navigable by KM Logistik Nusantara 4 with the Tg. Priok - Patimban - Deer - Letung - Tarempa - Pulau Laut - Natuna - Subi - Serasan - Midai - Tg. Priok
4. The T-10 route is navigable by KM Logistik Nusantara 5 with the Tg. Silver - Tidore - Morotai - Galela - Buli - Maba - Veda - Tg. Silver
5. Route H-1 is navigable by KM Logistik Nusantara 6 with route Tg. Perak - Makassar - Tahuna - Tg. Silver.
6. The T-14 route is navigable by KM Logistik Nusantara 1 with the Tg. Silver - Larantuka - Lewoleba - Kalabahi - Tg. Silver
7. The T-13 route is navigable by KM Kendhaga Nusantara 11 with the Tg. Silver- Rote - Sabu - Tg. Silver
8. The T-9 route is navigable by KM Kendhaga Nusantara 8 with the route Sorong - Oransbari - Wasior - Nabire - Serui -Waren - Sarmi - Sorong
9. The T-5 route is navigable by KM Kendhaga Nusantara 1 with the route Bitung - Ulusiau - Tahuna - Marore - Miangas - Marampit - Lirung/Melonguane - Mangaran - Bitung
10. The T-28 route is navigable by KM Kendhaga Nusantara 7 with the route Kupang - Waingapu - Labuan Bajo - Reo - Merauke - Atapupu/Wini - Kupang
Route RT 1 KM Caraka Nusantara 1: Kupang - Waingapu - Tg. Priok - Kupang
PELNI as a State-Owned Enterprise engaged in sea transportation has currently operated 26 passenger ships and stopped at 76 ports and served 1,058 segments.
In addition to passenger transportation, PELNI also serves 44 pioneer ship routes which are a means of accessibility for population mobility in the 3TP area, where pioneer ships stop at 285 ports with 3,695 segments. PELNI also operates 16 Rede vessels. Meanwhile, in logistics business services, PELNI now operates 10 sea toll routes and 1 special route for livestock transportation.
