A total of 163 people who have received full compensation from PELNI are now employees at PELNI Hospital without any reduction in rights and obligations.

Receiving Compensation, 163 Former PELNI Employees Relieved to Have Changed Status

Jakarta, 28 March 2024 - - PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia or PT PELNI (Persero) has completed the transfer of the status of 163 former employees who had been placed at PT PELNI Hospital. A total of 163 people who have received full compensation from PELNI are now employees at PELNI Hospital without any reduction in rights and obligations.

Head of PELNI Corporate Secretariat Evan Eryanto expressed his thanks to the hundreds of former PELNI employees for their contribution and hard work.

"During their time as part of the PELNI extended family, they have shown extraordinary dedication and work, especially in serving public health through the PELNI Hospital, which in 2020 saw the PELNI Hospital officially become part of the BUMN Hospital holding under the auspices of IHC Pertamina Bina Medika," said Evan.

PELNI management itself implemented a spin-off of PELNI Hospital in 2007 to become PT RS Pelni, before PT RS Pelni was taken over by IHC (Hospital Holding) in 2020. Considering this separation, management decided to transfer the employment status of hundreds of people who were previously registered as a PELNI employee becomes an employee of PELNI Hospital.

"By fulfilling all their rights in accordance with the rules and regulations, their employment status at PELNI has been terminated, and at the same time, they have been appointed as employees of PELNI Hospital, with the same rights and status in terms of rank, class and position. Nothing is lacking. ," explained Evan.

Evan ensured that in processing the transfer of employment status for these 163 people, PELNI and PELNI Hospital had taken a sympathetic approach through the socialization process and complied with applicable employment rules and regulations.

Of the 163 people, the majority are experienced health workers, both professional health workers as well as midwives and nurses, with the youngest working period being 19 years and the longest being 37 years.
