PELNI Makassar Offers Free Tickets to Maumere and Balikpapan
Makassar, December 7, 2024 – PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia, or PT PELNI (Persero), Makassar Branch, anticipates peak travel from Soekarno-Hatta Port on December 19-20, 2024. As part of the holiday season, PELNI Makassar, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation, is offering a total of 400 free tickets for routes to Maumere and Balikpapan.
Makassar Branch Manager Muhammad Jabir urged passengers to secure their tickets early. "Avoid buying tickets from scalpers. Passengers will not be allowed to board if the ticket name does not match their ID," Jabir emphasized.
During the peak period, five ships are scheduled to depart from Makassar Port. To ensure smooth passenger embarkation, PELNI Makassar has reinforced its team with personnel from Pelindo, the police, and the Indonesian Navy.
The five passenger ships scheduled to arrive in Makassar on December 19-20 include *Bukit Siguntang, **Sinabung, **Wilis, **Dobonsolo, and **Leuser*. "On December 20, four ships will arrive simultaneously, making it a busy day. We advise passengers to manage their belongings carefully," Jabir added.
PELNI's Corporate Communications Manager, Ditto Pappilanda, announced that PELNI Makassar is providing 200 free tickets each for *KM Bukit Siguntang* to Maumere and *KM Lambelu* to Balikpapan. These tickets are part of the Ministry of Transportation's initiative offering 3,100 free tickets across 13 PELNI shipping routes.
"For Makassar, PELNI is providing 200 free tickets for Maumere and Balikpapan routes. KM Bukit Siguntang departs for Maumere on December 19, and KM Lambelu departs for Balikpapan on December 21," Ditto explained.
"Registration for free tickets is conducted online. Details can be found on PELNI's official social media channels. I urge the public to be cautious of scams by individuals claiming to represent PELNI. These free tickets are entirely free of charge," Ditto emphasized.
PELNI passengers can also utilize digital platforms such as the *PELNI Mobile App* or PELNI's official website to purchase tickets. Tickets are also available through banking applications like *Lifestyle BCA Mobile, **Sukha Livin Mandiri, and **BNI agen46, as well as retail networks such as Indomaret, Alfamart, Alfamidi, and various online ticketing platforms including **Fastpay, **Easybook.com, and **Via.com*.
For payments, PELNI collaborates with financial institutions including *Bank BTN, **BRIVA, **BNI Virtual Account, **Permata Bank, and **Mandiri Virtual Account, along with retail networks like Indomaret, Alfamart, and payment solutions such as **iSaku* and *Finpay*.
